This ain’t your run of the mill Mustang GT350

The new Ford Mustangs are pretty badass and continue the tradition of a modern sports car that can compete against more exotic models for less cash. At the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, Ford Motor Company debuted a new high end Mustang that is proof that Ford hasn’t lost its touch when it comes to the unbridled power department.
Feast your eyes on the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R. This is not your run of the mill Shelby Mustang GT350, mind you, this particular model has been further massaged for all out speed. The car has seen its aerodynamics tweaked and its chassis improved, and its weight has been shaved considerably. Want air conditioning? You will have to pay more because that is an option on the GT350R. The standard trim doesn’t have it.
There is also no standard stereo, no rear seats, no backup camera, no trunk floorboard and carpet, and no spare tire. The 19-inch wheels are carbon fiber, reducing the weight a hefty 13 pounds per wheel versus the stock rims. They are mated to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 high-performance tires .The car sports a rear diffuser and a carbon fiber rear wing. Under the hood you will find a flat plane crank V-8 that reportedly makes more than 500 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque mated to a six speed transmission. The suspension is tuned for track racing, so even though this car is street legal, expect to see it running around tracks in the United States and around the world.
