It’s cocktail hour in Auckland. Head to a bar and try one of these drinks.

If you’re thinking about going to New Zealand, you should stop thinking and just go. A beautiful country with friendly people, there’s lots to do and see on the North and South Islands. If you happen to stay in Auckland, the country’s largest city, you can experience everything from beaches to hiking to rainforests to volcanoes and of course shopping, dining and drinking. And speaking of drinking, you’d be remiss not to try one of these New Zealand cocktails. All recipes from Cocktails of the World.

  1. Aspiration
    Ingredients:
    30 ml Midori Melon Liqueur
    15 ml Galliano®
    30 ml Pineapple Juice
    10 ml White Curaçao Liqueur
    1 Kiwi
    1 dash Coconut Cream
    Ice Cubes

Instructions:
Blend all ingredients with ice and strain into a hurricane glass. Garnish with a slice of kiwi and serve.

  1. Dunk
    Ingredients:
    30 ml Dry Vermouth
    5 ml Curaçao Liqueur
    30 ml Gin
    15 ml Galliano®
    Ice Cubes

Instructions:
Stir all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve garnished with a maraschino cherry.

  1. Sail Away
    Ingredients:
    30 ml Midori Melon Liqueur
    30 ml Vodka
    30 ml Lime Juice
    15 ml Peach Liqueur
    1 dash Lemon Juice
    Ice Cubes

Instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime slice and serve.

  1. Sheep’s Head
    Ingredients:
    45 ml Bourbon
    15 ml Sweet Vermouth
    15 ml Benedictine Liqueur
    1 Lemon Twist
    Ice Cubes

Instructions:
Stir all ingredients including lemon twist in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a lowball glass and garnish with a lemon zest and cherry. Serve.

  1. Tamarillo Teaser
    Ingredients:
    30 ml Tamarillo Liqueur
    15 ml Bacardi® Rum
    Cranberry Juice
    Pineapple Juice
    Ice Cubes

Instructions:
Pour all ingredients over ice in a highball glass. Serve.
