Daniel Marshall and Arnold Schwarzenegger Unite for Charity with Iconic White House Humidor that sells for $250,000
Luxury and philanthropy often go hand-in-hand, and the recent collaboration between well known humidor maker Daniel Marshall, Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Carlito Fuente Jr. is a prime example. This trio, united by a shared passion for giving back, has created a masterpiece that blends craftsmanship, history, and generosity. The result? The Daniel Marshall White House Humidor, a one-of-a-kind collectible that was auctioned for an astounding $250,000 at Schwarzenegger’s Brentwood, California, home, with proceeds benefitting the After-School All-Stars Charity.
A Presidential Masterpiece
The Daniel Marshall White House Humidor is not just a storage piece; it is a work of art and a tribute to history. Modeled after the iconic White House, the humidor is a 1:60 scale replica crafted from original 1791 blueprints. For this special edition, the design was updated to include the South Portico, which was added to the White House in 1824. Every detail of this humidor reflects meticulous craftsmanship, from its architectural accuracy to its luxurious finishing touches.
Inside the humidor, collectors will find 300 Arturo Fuente cigars in Churchill and Robusto formats. These cigars feature aged wrappers grown at Chateau de la Fuente, the renowned Fuente farm in Bonao, Dominican Republic, famous for producing Fuente Fuente OpusX wrappers. This blend of historical inspiration and exceptional cigar quality makes the humidor a treasure for any collector.
A Presidential Package
The auction package didn’t stop at the humidor and cigars. Adding a unique artistic element, the lot included six oil-on-canvas portraits of U.S. presidents, including Washington, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Kennedy, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush. These portraits are not only framed but also printed on the cigar bands, merging art and tobacco in a way rarely seen before.
Additionally, the package featured a Deluxe Edition of The White House—An Historic Guide, a coffee table book gifted to Marshall by the White House Historical Association, valued at $250. Together, these elements made the auction lot not just a collector’s dream but a historical statement.
The Craft Behind the Humidor
Each White House Humidor is crafted at Daniel Marshall’s California workshop, taking a full year to complete. Only 10 humidors were made:
One has been purchased by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
One will remain with Daniel Marshall.
One is intended to be donated to the actual White House.
The rest are reserved for collectors or future charity auctions.
These humidors are a testament to Marshall’s dedication to his craft and his commitment to creating pieces that transcend functionality and become works of art.
Giving Back: A Shared Vision
This collaboration was born from a shared vision among Daniel Marshall, Carlito Fuente Jr., and Arnold Schwarzenegger: to use their influence and resources to make a difference. The October auction’s proceeds were donated to the After-School All-Stars Charity, an organization that provides free after-school programs to children in underserved communities. By combining their talents and passions, this trio has helped create opportunities for the next generation.
As Daniel Marshall shared during a recent podcast we recorded with him, giving back is at the heart of his work, and this humidor project exemplifies that ethos. The inclusion of Carlito Fuente Jr., whose legacy also revolves around philanthropy, underscores the project’s deeper purpose. As a matter of fact Carlitos Fuente Jr. and Hublot just joined forces in a collaboration that will change many young children’s lives for the better.
The Daniel Marshall White House Humidor is more than a storage piece; it is a celebration of history, art, and the timeless appeal of cigars. With only a limited number of humidors in existence, it stands as a rare and meaningful addition to any collection. Whether as a symbol of craftsmanship, a nod to history, or a token of philanthropy, the White House Humidor represents the pinnacle of luxury cigar culture.
