For those looking for the ultimate smoke experience, feast your eyes on the Gurkha Maharaja, a super premium luxury cigar that retails for $2,000 a stick.
The super rare Maharaja, ships 10 to a box in a custom mahogany wood humidor, with each stick individually packaged in a piano-finished mahogany coffin.
According to the company, just 100 boxes will be sold, at $20,000 a box. The cigar itself is made with a secret blend of tobaccos, a Dominican binder and fillers in a maduro wrapper. The Maharaja is a medium-bodied cigar that the company says is one of a kind.
“The limited edition ‘Maharaja’ has set a new precedent for premium tobacco,” Kaizad Hansotia, founder and CEO of Gurkha Cigars said in a statement. “We’re excited to be able to pair these rare leaves in such a magnificent and flavorful way. It’s been a while since our first release of the ‘His Majesty’s Reserve’ in 1996 and we know this new luxury cigar will set a new standard for an exclusively luxurious smoke to become the ‘king’ of all cigars. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished with the ‘Maharaja.'”
