In an email to Cigar & Spirits, Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars dropped some knowledge and information on the latest release coming out at the 2016 IPCPR Show, the Villa Sombra.
According to Gellis, “This is the first non 100% AGANORSA blend to come from Warped out of TABSA, specifically due to this being the first Connecticut shade marca we have done out of TABSA. The filler and binder is still 100% AGANORSA but the capa is Ecuadorian Conn Shade.”
The story goes that the inspiration for this marca comes from Kyle’s affinity for Jalapa tobacco, with its sweet profile and relaxing aroma, Geliss continued, “So when I started playing around with the idea of captivating a blend of dominant Jalapa leaf, the Conn Shade capa was the ideal choice. But the final decision to actually make this marca a reality was on one of my recent trips to TABSA when time after time, I kept going back and smoking these throughout the days at the factory. I couldn’t stop, it was just the right cigar.”
