FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–Tobacco Media Group (TMG), parent company of the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE), is excited to confirm that TPE21 will be held in-person May 12-14, 2021 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). On Feb. 11, 2021, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak unveiled his state’s re-opening plan, which went into effect on Feb. 15, 2021. Gov. Sisolak’s reopening plan loosened restrictions on public gatherings and events and venue capacity limits. It also outlines a plan to remove state mandated restrictions and turn control over to county officials by May 1, 2021 if the state’s infection and positivity rates continue to improve. Currently, all indications point toward TMG being able to hold TPE21 as planned in Las Vegas, beginning on May 12, 2021. “There is excitement amongst TPE21’s exhibitors and attendees for May to be here so that the industry can come together for a reunion of sorts in Las Vegas,” says Ben Stimpson, managing director of TMG. “This is evidenced by a nearly sold-out show floor and a great start to attendee registration, which opened on Feb. 17, 2021.  We believe the TPE21 tradeshow is the ideal setting to bring the tobacco, vapor and alternative industry back together after [...]

Editorial Correction: January/February 2021 Issue

In our recap of the 2020 Top 5 Cuban Production Cigars there was a misprint for the final two placements due to an error in positioning between Cuban and non-Cuban selections. #4 The Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno position was intended as Ramon Allones Specially Selected – One of the finest robustos in the entire Cuban range and never lets you down. Surprisingly powerful. #5 The Balmoral Añejo XO position was intended as Trinidad Vigia – A killer stick; slick, smooth and deceptively strong. We apologize for any confusion. We encourage you to enjoy all the phenomenal cigars in the issue. Sincerely, Cigar & Spirits Magazine

New Vodka Named After Miami Nightclub E11EVEN

E11EVEN, Miami’s iconic 24/7 ultra-club and highest-grossing nightclub per square foot globally, now has an ultra-premium Vodka named after it. E11EVEN Vodka is the first-ever nightclub-branded ultra-premium Vodka, and it is also woman-owned. Born and raised in Miami, E11EVEN Vodka CEO Nikki Simkins loved seeing what E11EVEN had done for the city. So, when she set out to create an ultra-premium Vodka, she knew that the energy, spirit and vibe of the E11EVEN lifestyle was one that would translate flawlessly into a bottle. The sleek bottle design expresses an exotic yet elegant demeanor that offers an exciting, unparalleled Vodka experience. An eye-catching Miami-blue neck sleeve wraps the translucent frosted glass bottle that is tastefully accentuated by an iridescent silver label. Simkins licensed the intellectual property of the iconic brand and then found a master distiller in Miami. Sourced, distilled, and bottled entirely in the Magic City, E11EVEN Vodka is all-natural and gluten-free and is handcrafted in copper stills, distilled six times from 100% Florida grown NON-GMO corn, and then refined through a proprietary seven-step filtration process. The proprietary hand filtration process softens the palate, leaving a graceful finish that is long, warm, and seductive. E11EVEN Vodka can now be experienced from anywhere in the United States. "Thanks for your email. I am currently out of the office but will still be very hard at work selling Aviation Gin. For quite a long time, it seems.” That’s the automatic response to anyone who emails Ryan Reynolds at Aviation Gin. Diageo is set to buy the New York-based spirits company Davos Brands, which owns Aviation Gin and Balcones whiskey. The Deal $610 million is not too shabby of an earn-out deal for three years of work. Reynolds became the brand ambassador in 2018. It’s reported he’ll receive an initial payment of $335 million, but there’s potentially another $275 million on the table depending on sales over the next ten years. The Email You have to love the actor’s sense of humor on this. Then again, $610 million would make just about anyone giddy. “I just learned what an ‘earn out’ is… And I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone I told to go f— themselves in the last 24 hours. My lawyers just explained how long it takes to achieve an ‘earn out’… so… turns out I’m not as George Clooney as I thought.” Clooney’s Tequila label Casamigos was also bought by Diageo a [...]

CAO Launches Bones: Full-time collection celebrates dominoes, dice and great times with great Smokes

CAO presents “Bones,” a collection made to celebrate the memories that are made when a great cigar is lit and the games begin. Bones was named after dominoes and dice, the deeds that are best done with a cigar in hand and in the company of friends old or new. CAO’s blender/brand ambassador Rick Rodriguez said, “Bones is about kicking back with your friends with a cold beer in your hand, playing a game, smoking, grilling, talking a little trash, and having the time of your life. And that’s what CAO is about, too. It’s about being yourself, enjoying the people you’re with and not having a care in the world while you’re having your cigar. Most of us need a break right now and Bones is just the cigar for that.” Rick and the Nicaraguan-based CAO blending team set out to make a medium-to-full-bodied smoke that could easily be the topic of conversation or take the backseat during a game night or any smoking occasion with fellow cigar smokers. Rick and the team also developed the blend to complement a wide range of libations that go hand-in-hand with a handmade cigar. Bones features a [...]
