Kimo Sabe Mezcal Launches its Exclusive Grand Reserve 6 Year Añejo NFT
The NFT Collaboration Will Benefit The Huichol People of Northern Mexico
Kimo Sabe unveiled its Rare Six-Year-Old Añejo Mezcal today. Each bottle is encased in 1,888 hand beaded art bottles crafted by Huichol artisans. The purchasable NFT is based on spiritual visions from the lost tribe of shaman healers and represents an honorable collaboration between tribe and mezcal brand.
Kimo Sabe’s NFT program will direct proceeds from the NFT sale to ensure the continuance of this rare culture’s lineage long into the future. It is anticipated that the NFT, if fully subscribed, will generate up to one million dollars for direct Huichol assistance.
The Huichol lineage stretches back thousands of years. The work of the Huichol shamans bridges the material and spiritual worlds to heal the earth by bringing “kupuri” (or life force) into the bodies and souls of the people. This is achieved through cultural art, and the representation of the powerful symbols they receive through their peyote visions. The tribe has gifted the blessed and adorned bottles to Kimo Sabe for the purpose of the NFT release.
The release of the mezcal and NFT has been highly anticipated. The spirit is aged in new American White Oak Casks in the rarified air of the High Bayou of Zacatecas–only 1600 liters have been made for consumers through its NFT partnership program with the Huichol.
Kimo Sabe will share on-going news, information, and product availability of the Exclusive Grand Reserve 6 Year Añejo NFT across social media and the company’s website. -Cigar & Spirits Magazine
