With no commercial pressure to ever bring this private tequilato market, a small group of Mexican families have heartily funded it. For several generations, a local Amatitán artisan and distilling familyhas passionately produced this spirit,never veeringfrom the centuries old codes and customs –“Los Códigos”–that have made it the most selective tequila in the world.

Tasting Notes: Código 1530 Añejo is carefully aged for 18 months in French White Oak wine barrels, and has already been lauded among spirits aficionados, appreciated best when served neat. In its first-ever spirits awards entry, Código 1530 Añejo was awardeda Platinum, “Best in Class” distinction at the 2016 SIP Awards, where it was honored as the top tequila among the competition.
