Looking for a tequila-based cocktail to share with your dad? Try one of these from Tequila Avión.
By Cari Jorgensen
Avión Reserva 44 is the latest Extra Añejo release from Tequila Avión. Using ultra-slow filtration, Reserva 44 was aged for 43 months in a stone temperature-controlled cave. It was then aged for another month in a barrel, adding refinement to the spirit and giving it a deeper, more complex flavor, the company said. Reserva 44 was hand-poured into a crystal decanter, which was hand-signed by Ken Austin, Avión founder.
There are 744 cases available of the first release of Reserva 44. It is available for $150 per bottle. Reservebar.com offers bottles of Reserva 44 with custom etching for $170, perhaps as a Father’s Day gift?
